Successful Failure-Camping

Our beautiful campsite and view:

All the good-sport campers:

Quiddler really came in handy here since we were in the tent for a few hours because of the storms

First attempt:

Second attempt...this one survived a hail storm so it passed:

A few weeks back I went camping with some friends. It was fun but it seemed like we were NOT suppose to go because everything was constantly working against us.
We got off later than planned and got to the compsite at 10pm (we couldn't find the place) and then we were going to sleep under the stars but there was a coled breeze so Jake, Quinton and I put up a tarp to block part of the wind. All was good until about 15 minutes after we went to sleep when the wind totally changed directions and started ripping our tarp and it started to rain. At that point, since Maria had Davis, the two of us decided to drive to Payson and get a hotel room for the night. This was at 11:30 and little did we know that it was about an hour drive to Payson (I was driving REALLY slow down the mountain because it was raining, the road was bad, we were surrounded by elk and deer, AND it was dark-not very good mixes for me) AND it was season for them and so the hotels were asking for $100 a night and we only needed it for four hours (it was two at this point). We ended up doing it and didn't even get much sleep. The next day wasn't any better...we had a few hours of nice weather to sit and play and then we had storms move in and we spent most the time in the tent. PLUS no fires were allowed.

Beginning of the hail storm:

After:

I don't think we'll attempt that one again with two pregos, one 8 month old, no fires, and rain...at least for a while. :)

Doggy Play Time

Lyle and I have discovered the best play place for dogs! It's a dog park that has an enclosed lake where the dogs can swim and play together and then there is another enclosure that has steps and places to just run. It's such a nice place and Jaz loves it too! Her first time there she was a afraid of the water because she didn't realize it dropped off and she face planted, but since that, she has learned to swim and now LOVES stilling balls from other dogs. She specializes in waiting in the shallow until the other dog gets back from getting the ball and then she will try and take it away. Here's some pics and a video: This is a friend that the owner shaved his tail to make him look like a lion:

We always have so much fun when we go!

First $60 arrangement

First dozen roses arrangement

I've been meaning to blog but I've been a slacker, I know. I have other events to post about but that won't happen until after we're back from ABQ. To hold you off...since this has been my life as of late...here are more arrangements I have done.

Very Flowery

I just thought I'd post some pictures of some arrangements I've done. I am loving my job and learning new things each day! I just did my first $60 arrangement and my first dozen roses today and they turned out pretty good! I'll try and get pictures of those and post those later. Just keepin' busy.
