Many Pictures Catch Up-ABQ Baby Shower and Trip

At the beginning of March I was able to fly to Albuquerque for a visit to see all the Van Vleet girls together. It's been a while.
Erin, Keri, Jill and Mom put so much time into a shower for me and did such a wonderful job!! Thank you to all of them!

The wonderful person who made it all happen (with the help of the rest of the girls)

The Shower set up-Garden themed...many little details!

The guests:

We got so many cute clothes and especially ones that read "My Daddy Loves Me!" and we also got beautiful blankets and bath supplies. One that I am REALLY excited to use is a newborn swimsuit and sunglasses...since summer will be knocking at the door when she is born! Thanks to all! It was SO enjoyable and great to see old faces!

The other part of the fun was the time I got to spend with family at the zoo.

Lastly, just some cute random pictures that were taken...

It was such a wonderful getaway and I was sad to go, but was happy to see my hubby after a week.
He surprised me with these:

No, he didn't miss me either. :)

Valentines and Birthday

My sweet husband surprised me with a weekend getaway to a friends cabin for Valentines Day. This was such a surprise and a very welcomed break because Lyle has been working 24/7 lately and busy season hasn't even started yet. So we left with some friends Saturday night and drove up to Pinetop, AZ and began our wonderful three day weekend. We played so many games, took walks, played in the snow, watched movies, and even relaxed in their jacuzzi bath tub-ahhhh! On the way home Monday, the boys couldn't resist the awesome sledding hill and so we stopped and Jen and I watched while to boys went crazy.

The next weekend was my birthday and even though Lyle kept telling me that the getaway was also for my birthday, he surprised me in the morning with BEAUTIFUL pink roses (and I mean these were GORGEOUS) and CHOCOLATE!

Then he allowed me to drag him around town and go shopping for multiple things (this doesn't happen often at all!-PLUS he was getting sick and didn't feel good. He was SUCH a good sport!). We then had dinner at Red Robin and finished the perfect day off cuddling in our pjs on the sofa with a good movie.

He really went out of his way to make both weekends special and I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband!
