Special Delivery: Smiles

Last Friday I started the awesome job of delivering flowers for Country Blossoms Florist part-time.

Each Friday and Saturday I get to deliver these BEAUTIFUL arrangements to different places like hospitals, funeral homes :(, businesses, and homes. I LOVE the job! I especially enjoy seeing the smiles on people's faces when they open the door to flowers.

The hard part is having a sign at the door with "Do Not Disturb" due to sickness/tradegy or even delivering to a child's funeral. I just want to cry for them and take away the pain they are going thru. Janet made a good point about it...she said that we need to think of it as we are bringing them SOME joy through the flowers...a piece of joy to their day. :)

Did I mention I LOVE my job? Let's just see what I think AFTER Valentines Day. Bring it on!

I found these 3-D puzzles at Michaels in the "under $5" isle...I had so much fun putting it together even though it took all day. I'm not much of a puzzle person, but these 3-D ones were both challenging and enjoyable. I'm so proud of this! :)

This spider I loved and decided to get it for Erin...

And this is my next puzzle project:

Is it REALLY true?

I've put in SIX YEARS of schooling (two at Eastern Arizona College, two at New Mexico State University, and two at Arizona State University(the two years at each was not on purpose)) and I am FINALLY starting my last semester of school EVER! Yep, it's true, I am graduating in May this year.

The problem: I am SO worried that I will get to May and they will inform me that I still have ONE MORE class to do before I'm done. I just feel like I am suppose to be a FOREVER STUDENT since I've had a good start, and each time I thought I was close to my last year, the counselor would inform me that I still need this one more course that doesn't fit into my schedule 'til the next year.

So, when I GRADUATE, what a day that will be...I will not only graduate in CHILD DEVELOPMENTand DESIGN STUDIES but also in COLLEGE STUDENT.
I'm a pro!

This was a design at the Science Museum in El Paso...this is how it looks normally:

Then you were to take a silver tube and place it on the circle. Can you see what it is?

Jaz Happenings

Jaz has been having a hard time adjusting from Belen where she ran free with Mandy to being stuck in the backyard alone-she has had so much energy!

(Can you tell a difference between the two? Jaz is only 7 months and she's almost Mandy's size (she's 9 years old!). She's growing so fast and going to be BIG! Jaz is on the left if you couldn't tell. It threw me off at first.)

We have this sofa on the patio in back and it's been covered so Jaz learned not to be on it...just like the patio swing. So I decided that since the patio swing hadn't been covered and she didn't chew it or get on it, I would uncover the sofa and see how she did. So she ended up sleeping on it that night (I gave in and decided that as long as she wasn't chewing she was fine). So Lyle went out this morning to feed and play with her and she was just fine. It wasn't until two hours later that I went out
and found this:

and this:

AND this:

At least I wasn't attached to it!
Now the patio swing is another case.

Christmas Vacation!

I flew to El Paso and was in Chapperal (Is that how it's spelled?) to play with Danny and Lindsey AND Noah for three days. We had so much fun hence the Grossology and other pictures below.
We then drove to ABQ and was there for two weeks. It was so fun and relaxing and I expecially LOVED playing with my ADORABLE nephew, Cole. He LOVES helping Mom in the kitchen and around the house. I just couldn't stop taking pictures of him.
