"Hellostatue?"

The Object:
Lyle's work phone

The Evidence:

The Culprit:

Motive:
Human's toy that I can't have, but it's been left on the swing and it needs a friend.

It's pretty bad when you go out to find Jaz with the phone and she's already done her business and moved on to another toy...that was in a 20min period of time and she'd done WONDERS on it.
It was bad timing because Doug was going out of town, Lyle was running the place on his own the next day, he was going to be in a meeting and had to be able to get a hold of his guys.
We called our wonderful friend, Walter, to get a new one from the company and he sent us to the local Allet/Verizon Wireless store. It turned out that the phone has insurance and so the company just had to pay $50 and he got a new one. The problem was that the way Jaz tore the phone, they couldn't get the TONZ of lost numbers. Doug said he had them on his phone but it wouldn't transfer. so we tried to transfer from the computer, but it was the wrong file. So Lyle's WONDERFUL wife stayed up late putting in all his numbers so that sick Lyle wouldn't have to worry about it. (His wife is SO good to him-don't let him make you think otherwise! :))

ALSO, I have been have problems with my phone battery dying after two minor calls and Keri (thanks) suggested that I check to see if my contract was almost up. So we did while we were there and it turned out that since my contract was up and I was a faithful 2 year customer, I got a $50 credit towards an upgraded phone on top of the discounts that the phone already came with. He showed me a few (Keep in mind that when I got my original phone it was the most basic, cheapest phone they had)

and I wanted to keep it cheap and simple again but he pointed out a VERY fancy phone

with a Full Keyboard for texting and many other WONDERFUL features including music, great rings, a card to move from the phone to the computer, AND a great camera (none that my previous phone had)...and then he informed me that with all the discounts and credits, I would get that phone (worth $100) COMPLETELY FREE! I was sold!
Now I LOVE my phone!

Call me sometime!

Titanic Exhibition

I was able to convince my friends to come with me to an exhibition of Titanic treasures. It was free and we even got a free piture in front of the Grand Staircase with the captain. It was small but really cool to see and to learn facts that you didn't know or realize.
At the beginning, they gave us boarding passes of a person that was actually on the ship. The below pictures are of my pass.

At the end, there was a board that had every passengers name and it was divided into class and those that died. You then looked for your passengers name to see if you lived or died. Maria was first class (survivied), Jake was second class (died) and I was third (died). Suprising enough, more people were saved from third and crew than second class. Then of course, first class had the most.

Some fun facts that we learned:
Titanic didn't really want to have a third class but since they wanted to be an overall boat, they added it and it was the nicest third class of any boat in those days.

It was only a minute from the time the iceberg was sighted and they hit it.

First class ticket was worth about $40-90,000 today. They had sitting rooms, sleep rooms, smoke rooms and others included in the price. Extra was the steam rooms, the gym, and other fancy amenities.

The captain of the Titanic was going to retire after he returned from the voyage.

Of the 1,324 passengers, only 492 survived.

Of the 892 crew members, only 214 survived.

Lifeboats provided on the Ship were adequate according to the British Board of Trade rules set at the times; the rules had not been updated to include ships of Titanic's size.

Holding on by a finger

I'm in the final stretch of my VERY LAST semester. I thought that I was good on projects and such but I was MASSIVELY wrong. My one teacher that I have twice...he usually does all our projects at the beginning of the sememster (I've had him four times now) and for some reason he didn't so now he's trying to make up for that fact...between my two classes I have him for-two projects due this week, two next week, plus a test (which thankfully I don't have to take-but I still have to do the study guide and turn it in for credit...that's for both classes).
For my online class, I have one paper to write, a discussion that's two parts, a "Virtual Child" program to finish, and a test today.
For my last class, I have a paper to write.
All this is due starting this week and continuing on into the next two weeks. AAAHH! I was saying that I was bored with classes with the lack of class work...I think I jinxed myself.
And then I have the FINALS!
Let's just say that for the last three days, ALL I have been doing in the morning, afternoon and night has been writing papers and projects!! Kill me now! Thankfully it comes at a time that Lyle is STILL kicking butt at work with his 12 hour shifts and doesn't get home til 9pm. So I have time to get it done before he gets home to spend time with me and Jaz.
So, sorry if you've called in the last few days...and I haven't called back. I'm crazy busy and will eventually catch up with life in 30 days when I graduate. :) I'm busy earning my Bachelors Degree.
Leave a message at the beep.

Jazzy's new pool

We decided that since summer was coming and Jaz LOVES water, we'd get her a pool to cool off in. I also figured out the whole video thing and decided to share the smiles. This is what she thinks of the pool:

At first she didn't want to get her paws wet...but that ALL changed.

SO MUCH excitment!

Now it's time to dry off.

Can you tell we love our dog? I can't believe how big she has gotten. I was just looking at videos of when we first got her. She's definatly been a learning experience and we have REALLY loved her.
